PGA TOUR – Travelers Championship
The PGA TOUR action shifted to the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, following the dramatic conclusion of the U.S. Open, the third major of the year. Team Troon was well represented byJustin ThomasandMatt Fitzpatrick, who were the sole members of the team in the field this week.
Both Thomas and Fitzpatrick showcased impressive performances, each carding a remarkable -7, 63 at some point during the tournament.Justin Thomashad a particularly strong week, finishing in the top 5 at 18 under par. This result marks a significant improvement from his T7 finish last year, demonstrating his continued growth and consistency for the event. Thomas’s stellar play was evident throughout the championship. He made crucial birdies, including a 19-foot putt on the 17th hole in the final round, and consistently placed his approach shots close to the pin, setting up scoring opportunities.
Matt Fitzpatrickalso had a solid showing, finishing T36 at 9 under par for the event. While not matching Thomas’s top-5 finish, Fitzpatrick’s performance, including his low round of 63, indicates he’s in good form as the season progresses.

LPGA/Epson Tour – Island Resort Championship
Benedetta Morescomade the 5-hour journey from Belmont to Harris, Michigan, to compete in the Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass Golf Club. The challenging 6,414-yard, par-72 layout awaited her as she aimed to build on her impressive rookie campaign on the Epson and LPGA Tours. Moresco delivered solid performances, shooting consistent rounds of 70-70 to finish at 4 under par for the event.

PGA Champions Tour – Dick’s Open
The PGA Champions Tour rolled into Endicott, NY for its 14th event of the season, the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open, held at En-Joie Golf Club. Among the competitors was Team TroonColin Montgomerie, who showcased his enduring skill and consistency throughout the tournament.
Montgomerie delivered a solid performance over the three-day event, carding steady under-par rounds of 70-70-71. His play resulted in a commendable 5-under-par total for the tournament, securing him a tie for 29th place in the final standings.

PGA TOUR – Rocket Mortgage Classic
The Rocket Mortgage Classic is next up for the PGA Tour, and Team Troon membersMatt Kuchar, Gary Woodland, Alex Noren,andErik van Rooyenwill be competing. This event, held at Detroit Golf Club, is one of the newer additions to the PGA Tour schedule, having debuted in 2019. Notably, it is the only PGA Tour event in history to be located entirely within the Detroit city limits.
LPGA – Dow Championship
Following her impressive performance last week, Team Troon’sBenedetta Morescois set to continue her momentum at the upcoming Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. This LPGA event will take place in Midland, Michigan, adding another exciting stop to Moresco’s growing professional calendar.
PGA Champions Tour – US Senior Open Championship
Team Troon’sColin Montgomerieis set to compete in the upcoming U.S. Senior Open at Newport Country Club, a prestigious event on the PGA Champions Tour calendar. Montgomerie, a former champion of this tournament, will be looking to improve on his recent performances in the event, having finished T23 in 2023 and T28 in 2022. The Scottish golf legend has a special connection to this championship, having clinched victory in 2014 at Oak Tree National in Edmond, Oklahoma. In a thrilling finish, Montgomerie emerged victorious after a playoff against Gene Sauers. This triumph stands as one of the highlights of his illustrious senior career.From the week prior…

The 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 marked the 25th anniversary of Payne Stewart’s iconic victory at the same venue. Among the field were Team Troon membersMatt KucharandMatt Fitzpatrick, who navigated the challenging course conditions and notably Fitzpatrick, in particular, shone through, closing with a stellar 1-under 69. The U.S. Open purse continued its upward trend, reaching a record $21.5 million. The iconic Pinehurst No. 2 course, designed by Donald Ross, provided a true test of skill with its domed greens, sandy scrub areas, and wiregrass hazards.
