Honey- ADOPTED — REAL TIME RESCUE (2024)

ADOPTED BY HER RAD FOSTER FAM!

Honey is a 6.5 year old 55lb Ridgeback mix with a gentle and sensitive soul.

Honey was initially rescued from severe abuse when found bound by her legs, being dragged behind a car. Because of this, Honey grew up extremely fearful and is still working through this unspeakable trauma. Despite these circ*mstances, Honey continues to build confidence, independence and socialize with other dogs to help let go of her past.

You may recognize Honey from Dog: Impossible on Nat Geo WILD. Her original caretaker had rescued her directly from the shelter in San Diego and raised her on her own for many years. She was able to nurse Honey back to health and show her what it meant to be loved unconditionally.

However, when she married things took a turn for Honey, who became jealous, possessive and lashed out at her husband. When they announced they had a baby on the way in late 2019, everyone knew major changes needed to be made and quickly; the risk of adding a baby into the dynamic was too great, even with the progress made.

Honey is now in Real Time Rescue’s care to help her find a new home. She would do best with a couple -or a single person -equally dedicated to her care. Honey gets along best with large, male dogs, loves walks, essential oils and sunbathing! Please contact us to meet sweetie-pie, Honey!
