      Hydrangea

Hello, I have a hydrangea since it was small. Now it has grown , I changed its pot and for 2 weeks it has been “peeling” and it has some black spots on the stems. I water it every 2 days with a moderate amount of water, when the soil is dry. I have had plants for years , I have noticed that since I moved to another apartment they are starting to die one by one…. Can you please help me save it? Thank you

    • Hello. The black spots on the stem seem to be lenticels and are not a cause for concern. The deterioration is most likely related to a combination of factors, most notably the stress suffered during transplanting and when the environmental conditions have changed (with the move). For the time being, it is recommended to remove the parts of the plant that have been severely affected (wilted) and to use a fertilizer with a rooting stimulating effect, such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml (by watering at the roots, following the instructions in the product description). Next, it is essential to ensure the optimal growing conditions for this species (Hortensia, planting guide and care work). Additionally, if you consider it necessary, you may consider the regular application of a fertilizer that is specially formulated for the nutritional requirements of hydrangeas, such as Hydrangea Blue Fertilizer Wuxal Hortensiendünger, 1 litre (it can be applied as a foliar treatment on the remaining healthy leaves, as recommended in the product description).
In view of the current state of the plant in the attached photos and those mentioned above, it is not possible to accurately predict its future development.
