3 Wish green leaves

Hello,
I need some advice. I have just planted 3 ilex crenata plants in a planter on a covered terrace.
I would like to know how to take care of them: Do I need to apply any fertilizer or insecticide preventively?

Hello. As far as phytosanitary treatments are concerned, since ornamental plants can be affected by numerous pathogens (unlike certain vegetables or fruit trees where specific pests and diseases can be listed) and their attack is unpredictable (in time and space), preventive treatments are often ineffective. Thus, in general, ornamental plants should be checked periodically, and treatments only applied if pests or symptoms of disease are observed.
Considering the recent planting, you may think about applying 2-3 treatments, by watering, with a natural fertilizer such as AMN BonaVita, 500 ml or Root Stimulator Manna Wurzelforte, 1 litre. These help to improve the quality of the substrate and support the development of the roots. Also, to increase the plants’ resistance to stress factors, you can opt for regular administration of a fertilizer such as Evergreen Fluid, 350 ml, applied as a foliar spray according to the recommendations on the label.

Thank you for your answer. Do you also know what substrate I can use for these plants? From what I know decorative stone is not recommended.

If you are referring to mulching materials for the area around the plants, considering that the space (soil/substrate) around the plants is small, it is not recommended to use any mulch in this case.
